How do I buy tickets?

2025 Season Passes are now on sale HERE.  2025 regular season single-day ticket will be available at that same link later this Summer. You may also purchase tickets on-site at our box office on the nights of the event, though tickets will be limited, so we advise purchasing them online in advance. We have a limited capacity each night, so purchasing your tickets online in advance is the only way to ensure that you will be able to attend on the night that you arrive.  The box office closes 60 minutes BEFORE the listed show closing time.  Also, you will save $$ by purchasing online.

 

What is important to know for 2025?

The main things that we want everyone to be aware of for 2025 are:

  • OPEN CONCEPT FORMAT – For the 2025 season, once they have entered the building, guests may explore the Factory in any order or direction!  Your ticket grants entry into 4 attractions plus the all-new “Underworld.” Visit attractions in any order and even repeat one or two!
    Once you enter the building, you can choose whichever area of the Factory that you’d like to experience first.  This is an attempt to reduce wait times in our initial queue line for the 1st house.  If you want, head to Massacre on Mahoning first, or maybe go visit One-Eyed Jack’s Pirate Bar before heading into any houses.  But, choose wisely, as you can only go through 4 total houses per ticket per visit.
  • SMOKING/VAPING AREA –  Located outside the building by Poison Ivy’s Greenhouse Bar is the brand new “LUCKY’S LAST STOP” smoking/vaping area.  Stop out at Lucky’s gas station for a quick smoke (no marijuana permitted) during your visit.
  • CHAPERONE POLICY – To enter the Factory of Terror, minors (guests 15 years old or younger) must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old and has a valid government-issued photo ID. One (1) chaperone can accompany up to six (6) minors per day. Minors cannot be left alone without a responsible adult chaperone (21+) present. The adult chaperone is responsible for the behavior and safety of the minors during their visit and must be present at all times.  It is important to note that the adult chaperone is not required to enter the building, but they will not be granted free admission if they wish to do so. Please do not purchase an online ticket for a minor and leave, as they will not be allowed into the attraction without an adult present on FOT property, be it the parking lot or the Midway/Carnevil Bar.
  • Timed Ticketing – All guests purchasing tickets will be required to choose a date and a time slot during which they will attend.   You must use your ticket only on this day and time.  Anyone purchasing tickets on-site will be automatically assigned the next available time slot for that night, if available.
  • Limited Capacity – We will be limiting the number of patrons that we can put through the shows each night.  Each time slot will have a certain amount of tickets available, and once they are sold out, we can not allow any more customers in for the night.  As a result, our box office may close earlier than the listed time.
  • Digital Tickets – All tickets purchased online will be delivered digitally via email.  So, you must have a means of accessing your tickets once you have purchased them.  We will scan all tickets, either on your phones or on tickets printed from your email.
  • Attraction Changes – You’ll notice some changes to our long-standing attractions, some large, some small, all exciting.
  • FOUR THEMED BARS AVAILABLE

    • ALL haunted attraction ticket holders have access to all bars at FOT (those under 21 only have access to 3.)
    • On Sundays, ONLY Poison Ivy’s Greenhouse Bar and Forsaken Bar on Bourbon will be open. The Bar Crawl is NOT available on Sundays.
    • CARNEVIL CIRCUS BAR ~ Located in our Midway.  Before you even enter the building, you’ll have the chance to enjoy this fun bar with carnival-themed drinks & decor.  Only accessible from the Midway.
    • POISON IVY’S GREENHOUSE BAR (21+ only) ~ Located inside the building before you enter the first attraction, Poison Ivy’s will treat you to a feast for the eyes with beautiful, yet creepy, greenhouse decor & delicious themed drinks.
    • FORSAKEN BAR ON BOURBON ~ Our OG bar is still here, with some updated decor and the same fun times & wonderful drinks.
    • ONE-EYED JACK’S PIRATE BAR (21+ only) ~ At the end of our final attraction you will find the UNBELIEVABLE One-Eyed Jack’s.  Visit the pirates on their ship docked in a coastal village. Expect a lot of rum, a lot of fun, and scenery the likes of which you have never seen here at FOT.
  • ALL AMERICAN BATTLE BAR (21+)  ~ Guests 21+ will have the opportunity to visit our fun entertainment venue, All American Battle Bar (featuring the full bar called BULLSEYES AXE BAR.) The Battle Bar features axe throwing, diamond duck pin bowling, pool, darts, cornhole, shuffleboard, putting green, and more!  Walk-in availability for axe throwing or bowling is NOT guaranteed, and neither is included with your haunt ticket or admission into the Battle Bar.  Admission to the Battle Bar is FREE to all 21+ guests that enter the axe venue from INSIDE the haunted house, but there is a $10 cover charge per person for those who enter the axe venue from the outside with no prescheduled axe reservations.  NO children will be permitted into this venue, even with adults.  For more information, visit All American Battle Bar ~ Canton

 

What is VIP Fast Pass Admission?

VIP Fast Pass admission allows you to bypass all general admission lines during your time slot.  A Fast Pass only allows you to go through the show one time.

 

What is Immediate Access Admission?

Immediate Access admission allows you to bypass all lines at head directly to the very front of the line.  Only available at the box office, and very limited quantities are available.  Does not allow the purchaser to go through the show more than once.

 

What is the Bar Crawl ticket?

The Bar Crawl ticket is available to patrons 21 and over.  If you want to experience the ambiance and festivity of the haunt, and want to visit our bars, but don’t like the super-scary stuff of the haunts themselves, the Bar Crawl ticket is for you.  You’ll receive access to all FOUR THEMED BARS in the building plus All American Battle Bar.  More info can be found at thehauntedbarcrawl.com.  A limited amount of bar crawl tickets will be available online and on-site for each time slot.  The Bar Crawl is only available on Fridays and Saturdays.

 

What are peak nights?

Peak Nights (last few Saturdays in October) are the busiest nights of the season usually.  To try and spread that crowd out to other days so as to reduce the wait times for our customers and better serve everyone, we offer higher prices for those days.  This is an attempt to entice people to attend other days during the season.

 

If I buy tickets online do I have to use them on the same day?

All guests purchasing tickets will be required to choose a date and an entry window during which they will attend.   You must use your ticket only on this day and time.  Anyone purchasing tickets on-site will be automatically assigned the next available entry window for that night, if available.

  • You will be permitted INSIDE the building within 0-60 minutes of your entry window, and into the ATTRACTION within 0-120 minutes of your entry window.

 

Do I need to print my tickets?

If you have a smartphone, we can scan the tickets from your phone.  Printed tickets are also accepted.

 

I need to change the date/time on my tickets.  How do I do that?

If you purchased tickets online and need to change the date and/or time slot, good news… you can do this yourself with just the click of a mouse/finger!  Just head to our ticketing page and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page.  Look for the “Upgrade your existing order” link, click on it, and follow the provided instructions. OR, you can email us at fot1031@gmail.com and we will get to it as soon as we are able.

 

How do I get a refund?

Just like sporting events & others, we do not offer refunds unless you have purchased the ticket insurance while buying your tickets online.  Please see our Refund Requests page for more information.

 

I bought my tickets online, do I still have to wait in the box office line when I get to the Factory of Terror, or do I go directly into the attraction?

If you have online tickets, printed or on your smartphone, you may bypass the ticket booth line and go directly to the midway near the attraction entrance. However, you will NOT be able to queue up to enter the building until we prepare to serve your entry window.  Once you are in the line for your entry window, you will enter the building within 60 minutes of the time on your ticket, and will enter the ATTRACTION within 120 minutes of your entry window, depending on how early you got in line for your window. Arriving anytime on that day AFTER your entry window is fine, you will just not be let in early.

However, if you wish to upgrade to Fast Pass or have any other questions or changes, you must first either report to the ticket booth, or click the Upgrade button on our ticketing site.

 

Does my ticket get me into all attractions, or do I need to buy a separate ticket for each haunt?

One general admission ticket will garner you entry into all attractions open that night and all 4 themed bars (if you’re over 21.)

 

Is axe throwing included with the haunted house?

Axe throwing is an additional charge separate from the haunted house and must be reserved in advance. To book an axe-throwing lane, visit allamericanbattlebar.com.

 

Can I make a reservation?

You may currently purchase 2025 season passes online now.

What forms of payment do you accept at the box office?

We accept cash, credit, debit, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay. However, all credit/debit transactions at the box office will have a $1 service fee added to the ticket price.

 

Do you take credit and debit cards at the box office?

Yes. We take Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. However, if you use a credit or debit card at the box office, there is a $1 service fee per transaction included in the ticket price.

 

Do you take Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, or Cash App?

Yes. We take both Apple Pay & Samsung Pay at the box office, bars, and merchandise stand. We also take Cash App now (NOT at the box office.  At the bar(s) and gift shop only.)

 

Once we’ve used our ticket can we go through again with the same ticket?

No, your ticket is for one entry only.  However, if you are a Season Pass holder, you may enter as many times as you wish, though you must visit the box office (use Window #3) each time in order to obtain a new ticket. We are currently trying to work on a way for Season Pass Holders to bypass the ticket booth altogether if they are not bringing guests.

 

What about Season Pass / Bar Crawl Season Pass holders? How do we reserve our day & entry window?

Season pass holders and their guests do not have to reserve a day or entry window.  Just show up and head to the box office window #3 to obtain your entry ticket and purchase your buddy passes for the night.  We will always make room for our season pass holders regardless of whether or not we have sold out for the night. We are currently trying to work on a way for Season Pass Holders to bypass the ticket booth altogether if they are not bringing guests.

 

If I buy my ticket right before the ticket booth closes, will I still be able to get into the show?

Yes. Every ticketed guest will make it through all of the attractions open on that particular night as long as you arrive before our front doors close.

 

What time does the box office close?

Our box office closes 60 minutes BEFORE the listed show close each night, and may close even earlier due to attendance capacity limits, so you may not be able to purchase a ticket if you arrive close to the listed closing time.

 

DISCOUNTS and COUPONS

Are coupons available?

The only discounted tickets available are online and for kids on Sundays.

 

Do you offer Student discounts?

We do not currently have plans for any student discounts for 2024.

 

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes, we will offer discounts to any groups of 20 people & over.  To inquire about group discounts, email us at fot1031@gmail.com at least 24 hours before you plan to attend and we’ll get back to you ASAP.

 

Do you offer child discounts?

YES, we will offer discounted Kids’ Admission on Sundays (in October only) for 2024.

 

Do you offer Military discounts?

Yes.  A $5.00 discount is available to all First Responders (Police, Fire, EMT – must be active) & Military (active or veteran) with a valid badge, military ID, or DD214.  Discounts are only available on-site at the box office.

EMPLOYMENT

How old do you have to be to work at the Factory of Terror?

We strongly prefer that all ACTORS & TICKET TAKERS be 18+.  However, we will consider 16-17 year-old ACTORS on a case-by-case basis

You must be 18 or older to work with us in a NON-ACTING position.

 

How do I work at the Factory of Terror?

The Factory of Terror is now hiring for the 2024 Halloween season!
We are hiring for the following positions:
  • ACTORS ~ Must be 16+
  • FRIGHT ATTENDANT ~ Must be 18+ ~ Customer service position, stationed around venue to help guide guests and to answer any questions.

Is there an age limit?

There is no age limit. However, due to the intensity of our show, it is not recommended for children under the age of 12. We also do not permit strollers or children to be carried through the shows.

 

Is there a chaperone policy?

Are face masks required?

We do not require patrons to wear face masks, however, we do recommend that customers wear them if they are feeling sick in any way.

Is it Scary?

Yes! It is very scary!

However, different people are scared of/by different things.  Some are very hard to scare, and some are easy to scare. Even if we somehow aren’t able to scare you, we’ll still work hard to make your experience as entertaining as possible, even if it’s laughing.

 

Are there any claustrophobic sections?

There are no claustrophobia tunnels in the attraction for 2025.  There are small corridors to pass through, so alert any employees if an area is too small for you, and they will take you through a bypass.

 

Do you offer refunds?

Just like sporting events & others, we do not offer refunds. If you or some of your party were not able to attend and you have purchased the ticket insurance while buying your tickets online, please see our Refund Requests page for more information.

 

Is it open if it rains?

Yes. We’re open rain or shine.

 

If I enter the haunted house and get too scared, what do I do?

If you get too scared, stay calm and tell the actor in the room and they will escort you outside or get the show manager to do so. Please note, as with sporting events and large attractions, we do not give refunds. However, if you purchased the ticket insurance add-on for $TBD when buying your tickets online, and you can’t use your tickets at all, we will refund your tickets no questions asked (minus the ticket insurance fee.)

 

Do I have to buy a Bar Crawl ticket to visit the bars?

No, you do not.  Every haunt admission ticket includes access to all 4 of our themed bars (for those 21+.)  However, once you’ve exited the building after going through the haunts and visiting the bars one time, you are free to purchase a Bar Crawl ticket to take another run at the bars if you’d like and there is time.

The Bar Crawl ticket is only available on Fridays and Saturdays.  Only 2 inside bars will be open on Sundays (Poison Ivy’s and Forsaken Bar.)  You will need to purchase a general admission haunt ticket to visit any bars on Sunday.

 

I see there is a time frame on our tickets. Does that mean we have to finish our visit within that time? Can we take our time to enjoy the haunts and/or bars once inside?

There is no time limit to your visit (aside from the end of the night when we are nearing closing time.)  You can take as much time as you’d like once inside the building and can spend as much time at the bars as you like.  Again, you will be asked to move on when that particular bar or attraction is closing for the night.  Closer to the listed closing time, certain attractions near the entrance of the building may begin to close to facilitate moving the crowds closer to the exit.  Announcements will be made that these attractions will be closing, so listen close and make sure to head up there when you hear these announcements if you’d like to experience those attractions.

 

Do I have to sign a waiver?

You are not required to sign a waiver to experience our attraction(s) for any event.

 

How many people go through it at a time?

We will be separating and assigning groups, sort of like on a rollercoaster. On slower nights, we may allow groups of less than 8 to go through. Groups will be no larger than 8 people for the best experience.  Larger groups than that will have the scares ruined for those in the back of the group.

 

Can I stay with my group?

You will remain with your smaller group throughout the attractions, however, larger groups over 8 may be split up.

 

What should I wear?

The Factory of Terror does NOT have heating or air conditioning in the haunts themselves, so please dress for the current weather conditions.  We try and heat up a few common areas, but it is a large, old factory without HVAC in most places.  Sandals, heels, or any other open-toed shoes are strongly discouraged due to uneven surfaces and tripping hazards throughout the attractions. You may come in contact with dirt and theatrical blood, so please wear clothes that can get dirty.  We are not responsible for any damaged or soiled clothing or bags.

 

Can I wear a costume?

You are free to dress in your favorite costume as you please. We just ask that you do not wear any full silicone masks or face paint, or bring any props with you.

 

Can pregnant women go through?

Guests enter at their own discretion. Factory of Terror is not responsible for injury. We suggest calling your OB/GYN and/or physician to discuss the situation with them.

 

Is it handicap accessible?

Yes. There are a few scenes that aren’t accessible, but the majority of the show is! Alert the ticket takers and employees will then lead you to the accessible bypasses.

 

Can the actors touch you?

For the most part, no.  Some of the more experienced actors at FOT may lightly touch you, but you will not be harmed or touched inappropriately.

What time does the line start forming?

Lines start forming between 30 and 60 minutes prior to the box office opening. On our busy nights, it is best to show up early to avoid long lines. The box office will open and we will begin selling tickets at the listed opening of the attractions.  Our midway near the attraction entrance will open 30 minutes before the show opens.

 

How long is the wait to get in?

Saturdays are our busiest nights. You may experience wait times from 1 to 3+ hours, though this should change with our timed ticketing. You WILL enter the building within 60 minutes of the time slot that you have purchased. If you are in a hurry, Fast Passes are available to get to the front of the lines for an extra $12, and a limited number of Immediate Access passes are available at the box office for TBD each.

Please keep in mind that we must find a happy medium between making wait times shorter and making sure everyone has the best experience possible.

 

Is there indoor waiting?

Yes, but the lines may stretch outside on our busiest nights. Once inside the building, you will not have to go back outside until you’ve completed the haunted house.  However, the line to buy tickets is NOT indoors, so we recommend purchasing tickets online in advance so you can bypass the ticket booth.

 

How long does it take to get through the Factory of Terror?

You will be getting scared for approximately 45-60 minutes. This does not count the wait times. The time it takes to get through depends on how fast you walk… or run!

 

What time does it close?

The FRONT DOORS at FOT close* at Midnight on Fridays & Saturdays, 9 pm on Sundays, and 10 pm on Halloween.  HOWEVER, the BOX OFFICE closes 1 HOUR EARLY each night.  *If all outstanding tickets have been scanned, the front doors may close BEFORE this time.

 

Can I take pictures?

We will have an official photo op where we will be taking professional photos of each group that may be purchased at the Gift Shop at the exit or on our web site afterwards.  Also, there are multiple free photo-ops. You are welcome to take pictures while in line or in common spaces, but once inside the haunted houses themselves, you may not take any pictures or videos of our actors, scenes, or props.  If you are seen taking photos or videos of any kind, our show managers will ask you to cease doing so.  This does not include the queue lines for each show, the French Quarter at the Factory midway, any bars, or the exit merchandise area, where you are more than welcome to take photos & videos.

 

Is there smoke or fog in the shows?

Yes. We use theatrical fog, snow, & haze to create many effects in our shows.

 

Are there strobe lights?

Yes. If you have problems with epilepsy, please talk to your doctor beforehand or refrain from entering the show. If you do, alert the ticket taker at the beginning of each attraction and they can have the show manager escort you around problematic areas.

 

Is there security?

Officers from the Canton City Police Department are on site during all operating hours to ensure the safety of all inside the building.  Additional security officers are present in strategic locations to ensure that no guest harms our actors, other employees, or other guests.

Security officers will also be at the attraction entrance screening guests with metal detectors.  NO weapons, including firearms or knives, will be permitted inside the building.  These items will be confiscated and NOT returned, so PLEASE leave them at home or in your locked vehicles before heading into the attraction.

Persuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 2923.121 it is illegal to possess a firearm in any room in which any person is consuming beer or intoxicating liquor in a premises for which a D permit has been issued. Listed prohibitions and exceptions under the Ohio law apply.

 

Can we be thrown out for any reason?

Yes. Any dangerous or offensive behavior is grounds to be thrown out. Whether or not you will be thrown out is at the discretion of the Factory of Terror staff. Such behavior includes assault (verbal or physical) of our staff or other patrons, or vandalism of any of our sets/props, as well as anything else deemed to be worthy of expulsion.

 

Do you serve alcoholic beverages?

YES!  You will be able to visit the Carnevil Circus Bar before entering the building, Poison Ivy’s Greenhouse Bar (21+) before entering the queue for the first attraction, Forsaken Bar on Bourbon in our French Quarter midway area, and One-Eyed Jack’s Pirate Bar (21+.)

Staff will be patrolling the queue lines to ensure that all consumption of alcohol is done by guests wearing the Over 21 wristbands that we will provide once IDs are checked. Please drink responsibly. Only 2 drinks will be served per ID per transaction.

We reserve the right to remove any patrons we deem to be too intoxicated for the safety of our staff and customers, including the intoxicated parties themselves.  Also, the Hide-A-Way Buffalo Grill is next door if you’d like to hang out before or after.  That Halloween Bar is also just minutes from the Factory.

 

Do you have concessions on site?

A food truck will be available for guests. Stay tuned for the location of this truck for 2025.

 

Do you sell T-Shirts and souvenirs?

YES!  The SCREAMSHOP at the Factory of Terror. There you will find FOT, Halloween, and horror pop culture merchandise. Proudly featuring shirts from The Halloween Shirt Company, and bags from Post Mortem Horror Bootique.  For 2025, proudly featuring miscellaneous gifts and merchandise courtesy of Sir Troy’s Toy Kingdom.

 

Is smoking/vaping allowed?

In accordance with state law, smoking and/or vaping is prohibited INSIDE the building.

However, Located outside the building by Poison Ivy’s Greenhouse Bar is the brand new “LUCKY’S LAST STOP” smoking/vaping area.  Stop out at Lucky’s gas station for a quick smoke (no marijuana permitted) during your visit.

 

What can’t we bring inside the show with us?

You cannot bring any weapons of any sort into the attraction with you, real or fake. You may not wear any full silicone masks, theatrical face paint, or bring props of any kind.

Also, no outside (meaning any which has not been purchased at our attraction) food, drink, or alcohol may be brought onto our property.  In addition, we do not allow strollers to be brought into the building.

No weapons (including FIREARMS or KNIVES) will be permitted inside the building. Security officers will also be at the attraction entrance screening guests with metal detectors.  These items will be confiscated and NOT returned, so PLEASE leave them at home or in your locked vehicles before heading into the attraction.

Are the attractions the same each year?

No. We work hard to update and make changes every year. We promise we will never be exactly the same two years in a row. 2025 features large updates to some of our oldest fan-favorite houses.
